Mbari: as artes e a vida

There is an Igbo celebration in Nigeria called Mbari, which should be understood in the sense of celebrating the world and life through art, involving remembering the actions and encounters between people throughout life, the significant, the new, the diverse, the unusual, the challenging. In this sense, to celebrate is to recognize presence and existence. The AYA uses the expression “mbari” to think about the arts and life in these encounters.
